Friend of the Street Musicians Festival: Petroleum Industry Of Serbia

The 15th Street Musicians Festival in Novi Sad is just one of the local community projects across Serbia supported by the Petroleum Industry Of Serbia as part of their program for this year – Together For The Community.

As part of the open call Together For The Community, the Petroleum Industry Of Serbia this year finances 152 projects, with the goal to, through the realization of the projects, improve living conditions in local communities in which the company conducts business and thus contribute to their development.

The Petroleum Industry Of Serbia has supported the realization of projects on the territory of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Čačak, Pančevo, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Novi Bečej, Žitište, Kanjiža and Srbobran. The decision committee consisted of company representatives, local governing bodies, as well as distinguished figures from the local communities, and this year, for the first time, in choosing the projects the local citizenship was also included.

From 1,225 applications, the committee, according to previously established criteria, chose the projects, making sure to support initiatives from five fields: sport, culture, science, environmental protection and help to socially endangered groups.

The Petroleum Industry Of Serbia has for the seventh year in a row conducted support programs for local communities, and during that time over 600 projects have been realized, helping the development of local communities, relieving the operations of numerous institutions and improving the work of cultural, educational and sports institutions.
