Body as an Instrument (Sremski Karlovci/Serbia)

The creative music-performance workshop “Telo kao instrument” (Body as an Instrument), is dedicated to the endless possibilities the human body and voice have as musical instruments, and was created especially for the performance at the Street Musicians Festival. An entire day’s worth of program includes professionally guided work by three instructors and visitors, and then, afterwards an interactive evening concert.

The workshop is the brainchild of contemporary artists:Milena Stanojević –actress and director of alternative theatrical forms at the University of Sofia (Bulgaria), Marko Dinjaški – professional musician whose main instrument is his body, and Ana Vrbaški –an artist entangled in numerous, current avant-garde projects. Their five hour long, free workshop is intended for all interested visitors of our Gradić, no matter their age, and offers a treasure trove of knowledge regarding the use of body and voice in artistic expression, as well as the basics of stage movement in performing arts.
