Harp Explosion (Vinkovci/Croatia)
One man bands come in many forms, and, despite prejudice towards them, they can be extremely interesting, as well as attractive, and even seductive. Exactly that kind of one man band is the harmonica player Igor Đeke Igi from Vinkovci–better known as the Harp Explosion.
As a member of the ex-Yu rock scene, known for its strong avant-garde(Majke, Satan Panonski, Hali Gali Halid…), Igi continues to nurture the same strong artistic expression, based on the sound of the original blues instrument traversed through modern electronic effects and loops. His urban atom blues has, since 2009, until now attracted numerous names from all corners of the region to cooperate with him, the likes of which include the famed Disciplin A Kitschme, their consistent member for several years now. Harp Explosion received outstanding reviews for his third independent album “5 Years Later”, so his performance around the corner at the Suburbium should definitely not be missed…
