Kuver (Belgrade/Serbia)

The spatial installation “Kuver” (Tableware) will revive one corner of the Suburbium during the Street Musicians Festival, as part of the project “Initiate Change, Be the Change!” a project by the Association Scenatoria from Petrovaradin. The art duet from Belgrade, Pol Kurion and Igor Štanglicki, artistically shape rundown spaces, and offer them to the public, as a suggestive provocation on the topic of what can awaken beauty and activity in “your” neighborhood.

An open window and a view of a beautiful ambience offer a surprising example of change in the most unlikely place – an empty or an insufficiently used space. The inspiration for their work lies hidden in the interests of these two artists: Pol is a writer and musician, while Igor works with sound and sculpture. “Kuver” has until now, only been seen in Berlin and Belgrade. Where the third exhibition will take place, only the visitors of Gradić can discover, come September.
