Mouse N’Monkeyz (Bucharest/Romania)
Diverse in genre, contemporary underground music also implies a wide spectra of various instruments combined with electronics and other technological leaps. Taking that path is the artistic group of young Romanians, gathered around the name of Mouse N’Monkeyz, which to the Suburbium arrives with big expectations, but also a rich offer of rhythms, melodies, and mysteries…
Regarding their music, they claim it is a “fruit salad”, encompassing a bit of everything: funk, jazz, hip-hop, alternative, or indie rock, electronics and industrial. This quartet from Bucharest also nurtures a dose of suspense, since the three guys and girl are constantly overshadowed by their masks, satirically displaying the title creatures from the band’s name. What is brewing at the underground scene from behind the once “iron curtain”, we will find out very soon, already during the first weekend of September in our Gradić at Petrovaradin.
