Walk through Suburbium (Petrovaradin/Serbia)
An organized walk through the Suburbium titled “Hear Thee, Hear Thee!” is an activity by the Citizens’ Association Scenatoria from Petrovaradin, intended for the visitors of this year’s Street Musicians Festival in the Gradić beneath Petrovaradin Fortress. The walking tour is part of Scenatoria’s project “Initiate Change, Be the Change!”, and will be held during the second and third days of the Festival, from 18:00 (6 PM) to 19:30 (7.30 PM), from the starting point at the beginning of Belgrade Street, near Varadin Bridge.
The goal of this walking tour is for the citizens, with professional help from the leading members of Scenatoria, to discover segments, stories, and pictures from the life of some of the most important buildings in Petrovaradin’s Suburbium. As the most important segment of the entire route, the members of Scenatoria highlight the fact that visitors will come face to face with the windows and roofs, and that they will smell the scent and hear the sounds of the Suburbium, thus experiencing it, at least for a while, in its true light, with all its imperfections, contemplating what life might have looked like here in the past, and how it might look in the future after the changes initiated by this project, together with the Street Musicians Festival..
The tour of the Suburbium “Hear Thee, Hear Thee!” will take place at each of the following segments of the route:
1 Between two stairways
2 At the Parade Square
